The casserole with lid by Riess is ideal for sauces, but can also be used for searing and braising.
The lid rests well on the saucepan and acts as an energy monitor: as soon as the lid starts to rattle, it's time to reduce the heat and thus save electricity. Depending on the type of stove, it can be switched off completely approx. 5 minutes before the end of cooking, as enamel stores the heat for a long time. We therefore warmly recommend using pot holders to lift the pots and lids, as the enamel handles also retain heat. The advantage of the enamel handles, however, is that you can safely slide the pot into the oven to keep it warm. The edge of the saucepan has a robust chrome rim.
The material enamel consists of iron that has been fused with glass at high temperatures, i.e. from natural raw materials.
The enamel cookware can be used on all types of stoves (gas, electric, glass ceramic, induction and even over an open fire). Thanks to the iron core, the heat is quickly conducted and then stored: for sustainable, energy-saving cooking.
The pore-free, smooth surface made of glass guarantees perfect hygiene. This is aroma-neutral and bacteria-inhibiting and also easy to clean. With proper use and proper care, enamel crockery is a long-lasting pleasure and retains its typical shine.
