Its generous depth means you can serve large portions and the handles allow you to remove it easily from the oven and bring it safely to the table.
The classic oval gratin dish is shallow enough to spread a thin layer of food with a perfectly browned crust or topping. The handles make it easy to remove the dish from the oven with potholders or oven gloves and is designed with shallow sloping sides, to ease out the cooked food.

The APPOLIA factory is located in southern Brittany (West coast of France), Famous region for its legends and culinary traditions, with a soil rich of pure clay and kaolin.
Since the early 50's, the factory has been mainly dedicated in providing baking and serving dishes to the food industry.
In 2000 the BCI group wanted to put its know-how to the service of the Houseware market. Appolia was born from a challenge to renew the traditional shapes of the oven to table ceramic dishes. Our in house designer has been inspired by the ambiance of the Renaissance. When the culinary art was born, when the necessity of putting on stage the table became evidence.
Ever since our goal has been to catch this feeling, by modelling it with our French touch of tradition and modernity.
